Extending Shelf Life And Freshness Of Durians
Solving the export problem of fresh durians
If you are a durian exporter or durian retailer here are the most common problems that you will face:

-
10%-30% wastage of your durians because it turns bad after 2 days
-
Your musang king starts to get watery after 36-48 hours
-
A delay in air shipment can make your durians spoiled and affects profits
-
You are not able to fly your fresh durians to far away places such as the US, Canada and UK due to logistics timing
-
Losses can pile up because you can't sell fresh durians after 48 hours
Finally A Solution That Extends Shelf Life Of Fresh Durians For Up to 7 days (Without Chemicals or Side Effects)
Back in 2020, MARDI did a research into the possibility of extending the shelf life of durians. The results were good. The advice and guidance of the MARDI researcher revealed to us the possibility of extending shelf life of durians. However we realiezed it needed to be put in a way that is commercially viable.

As this is quite new, we are still in the process refining the tech. Our own research and experiment with the assistance of R&D from Europe has been fruitful. As seen in the pictures below, it shows quite promising results which will change the way fresh durians and pulps will be exported in the future.

The pulp of this durian is already 4 days old. With the technology it still maintains its freshness after 4 days. With more testing we expect to extend the freshness to 20 days

The picture above shows durians that are already 4 days old. 2 of the durians are fresh durians while the rest are 4 days old. Looking at the stem of the durian that are white, it still looks freshly dropped and maintain its freshness.
Advanced Technology That Has A Proven Record Of More Than 100,000 Units
While it is quite new in Asia, this technology is widely used in the European Union as well as the United States. With more than 100,000 units in use on various produces, it has a proven track record of extending shelf life of produce from Apples to Mushrooms and now to durians.

It is here at BloopyDurians that we are the first to use the technology on durians.

The modules in use to extend the shelf life and freshness of durians
This technology is brought to life by the help of

More Research To Come
We believe this tech will be a game changer and revolutionize the durian industry. Being able to preserve the freshness of durians will enable the export and storage of fresh durians to all over the world.

Durians are stored in the modules and protected. Keeping it fresh for days

We have given the test results to market players and industry experts to try and they are not able to tell the difference between our stored durians and fresh durians. Most say that the durians are freshly dropped in the morning.
As this technology is very new to the durian industry, we are still testing and will be giving the best to our customers. We look forward to when customers in China, US or even UK are able to taste fresh durians like in Malaysia.

Please stay tuned for more updates in the near future. Please contact Mr Stephen Loke if you would like more information or to experience this tech first hand.
